Daylight Saving Time Ends Sunday, Nov. 1: Set Clocks Back One Hour
Daylight saving time ends this weekend. At 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, clocks go back one hour to 1 a.m.
According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), daylight saving time in 2026 runs from March 8 at 2 a.m. to Nov. 1 at 2 a.m., local time. When it ends, the 1 a.m. hour repeats, so Sunday has an extra hour.
A quick weekend checklist
- Set clocks that don’t update on their own, like those on ovens, microwaves and in cars, back one hour.
- Check the official time at time.gov.
- Election Day is two days later, Tuesday, Nov. 3. Drop boxes close and ballots must be received by 8 p.m. that night. See our Weber County voter guide for drop box locations.
Times and details can change; check the official notice before you go.
